Dear Son, Dear Mo,
Over the years, I have learned the true meaning of wealth.
I have seen it arrive in many forms;
It does not have to be money, nor fancy cars, nor houses.
True wealth can be a healthy mind, one that can truly read and understand.
It can be a clean soul, one that senses life and truly lives it.
It can be a light heart, one that does not carry the weight of envy or hate toward oneself or others.
It can be a good woman by your side, who sees you reaching for the stars and cheers as you turn your dreams into constellations.
For me, wealth often arrives as a blessing from God: a “Godsend” friend who volunteers their time and effort to save me from misfortune or the traps of the jungle of men.
Son, you are already wealthy.
But if your wealth one day includes silver and gold,
Do not let it change who you are or how you feel.
Do not let its power blind your senses or dim your gaze toward the stars.
It must never obstruct the path to the next “unlocked space territory” you have charted from your heart.
Let your wealth be a clear mind, a clean soul, and a light heart.
Even if the other kind of wealth never comes, never forget: you are already wealthy.
But never forget, my son: among all my wealthes, my family back home, the family God gave me in exile , my fast mind, and my feathered soul, you are the brightest wealthy shining star in my sky.
You are my true wealth that I leave behind. I have treasured every moment spending with you as beyond any wealth any man can think of!
